Chances:U Of Michigan, Ann Arbor Engineering?

Hi my name is Ryan. I am really really nervous about my application to Michigan since it is my dream to go there... for example, I spent over 60 hours on their essays. Out of all the schools I applied to there are two that really mean the world to me, this is one of them. COMPLETELY BLUNT and HONEST opinions would be appreciated...

Thanks so much guys,

Your EC's are formidable as well as is your rank but your GPA and test scores are a low for Michigan. Although its too late to take the SAT I you should think about retaking or not sending the SAT II Chem since it is pretty low. Your classes are fine but because Michigan is out of state for you it might be a reach/slight reach. I am in the same position as you. It also depends on what program you are applying for, since that factors in as well.

I had an EXTREMELY bad day that day... unfortunately I've come to terms with the fact that excuses aren't allowed on the SAT transcript ;D

I tried calling and asking CollegeBoard not to send it but they "HAVE" to send SAT II's if you send your SAT I's. So live and learn I guess... I was really upset though. Kinda made me ask "Why do I pay them to do this... My money pays their paychecks right?" :D Makes me chuckle everytime...

I'm looking to major in Aerospace/Aeronautical or Chemical Engineering

Thanks for the quick response!
Ry

Bump for the night...
Any response, even just a "Don't sweat it..." like I hear from my friends everyday would be awesome.

Thanks for all the help,
Ry

Very unlikely

Thank you for your honesty and thanks to everyone for their time/help.

Just to update you all... as of Friday March 9, 2007 I am a Wolverine Engineer. I was accepted to the school of my dreams.... The College of Engineering at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor!!!! A few months back the words "very unlikely" bothered me greatly.... and that was before the deferral...

"Very Unlikely" were true words....

NEVER LOSE HOPE... I will make U Mich happy that they gave me the opportunity to represent them.

Hope all of you see that Very Unlikely still means possible and that life works in funny ways.

Ryan

I would'n't've "very unlikely"; perhaps "unlikely," but mainly due to that SAT score. The rest's awesome.

Congrats! =)

Congrats. Nice to see someone get to the school of their dreams.

Congrats!!! :-D

Great Job! One of my goals too...
