Notable Clubs include Phi Theta Kappa (Honors Society), Future Business Leaders of America (Phi Beta Lambda), Accounting and Finance Club, Adamant (National Marketing Organization), Honors Club

I was in Associated Student Government for two years, holding officer/senate positions both years (Social Student Involvement Coordinator and later Executive Vice President)

Founder of the Young Entrepreneurs Club, an organization that worked with local Business Incubators and Development centers to inspire the entrepreneurial spirit in non-business major around campus.

Founder of "Foodie Club", a club with the sole purpose of taking its members out to eat at local venues. Raised money to pay for its members through restaurant sponsorship and several bake sales on the college campus. It promoted cultural immersion and social development for students, while also acting as a student's first step towards club life on campus.

Started a business with a partner that shoots to encourage innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit from anyone and everyone. It hosts a crowdfunder (like Kickstarter), an Idea Bank (like a regular crowdfunder except the donors come up with the idea), and an e-Commerce store for people to sell their successfully funded projects. More to come, but it is still under heavy development. Link: http://crowdvoyager.com/

Other Notable Qualities and Experiences (Essay Material)

First in my immediate family to attend college. First male within my extended family to attend college. First male out of extended family on my mother's side to graduate high school on the first try (I have about four older male cousins) Only other educated family members that received an education were my godmother (Poly Sci) and female cousin (currently studying law)- both went to Berkeley- I plan to carry the tradition.

Just as my paternal grandparents and my very own mother struggled to make ends meet when they first arrived from Mexico, I too have come to experience my family and I fiscally plummet to the ground. Both parents are now unemployed; we are still struggling. I know how it feels to struggle, and I recognize opportunity when I see it.

Northwestern and UC Berkley are matches. However, Cornell is a big reach with a 2000 SAT. Thats actually interesting you got an exact 2000.

@TheJHUenthusiast‌ I’m sorry, and I could be wrong, but I am under the impression that Northwestern is just as difficult to get into as Cornell, if not more so! I also think that UCB and Cornell are similar in terms of average stats.

Northwestern is at least as selective as Cornell. A 2000 SAT is pretty low for NU.

Berkeley is maybe a high match.

U-Dub is a match

Yeah, you’re definitely not going to be a “match” for Northwestern because its extremely selective. I’d try to get your SAT score up to at least 2200+ to have a good chance at Berkeley, Cornell, or NU. However, colleges also base a lot of their decisions of your transcript rigor. Have you taken AP/IB/Honors classes?
