don’t submit your sat
try retaking the act and hopefully you’ll improve!
other than that, most of them are high matches / low reaches i think

Good luck!

Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1678006-chances-at-cmu-scs-ill-chance-back.html#latest</a></p>

@2015er‌ Thanks for the input!

What do you plan to major in? If you live in California I think you have a really good shot at UCI and UCSD, UCB- reach and you have a shot at UCLA depending on your personal statement

You have many AP courses, shows you really challenged yourself! I think you are a well rounded student that has a very good chance at these schools. Now it is all up to you to write a killer essay! UCB and UCLA would be the reach schools I think. Many people with crazy good stats still do not make it into these to. It can be very random.

Math & stats, or engineering (chemical or civil ) and thanks.

UCI: Match
UCSD: High Match
UCLA/UCB: Low Reach

Competitive GPA and if you get around a 2100+ on the SAT or 32+ on ACT, you should have good chances on all schools. Good Luck

@foreignbeauty17‌ Thanks and yea I need to write some killer essays if I want to have a decent chance.

@Gumbymom‌ I’m retaking the SAT & ACT on October, both respectively, so I can get my scores definitely up in that 2150+ range & 33+ range.Recently, I’ve been practicing on CB tests & been scoring in those ranges and above. Hopefully, I can replicate those results…

4.6 is pretty high for a ucgpa isn’t the max 4.4 assuming all A’s + extra 8 semesters?

You have good chances at all. The holistics UCs probably will discount your SAT. Your GPA is decent. It boils down to your essay.

@AchieveLife‌ at my school, 5.0 is the highest which no one is close to because we don’t have a multitude of APs like other schools where they have like 30 APs available which enables students to take 6 APs freshman to senior year. . Our school has like ~16 APs.

@DrGoogle‌ thanks for the feedback & I definitely will attempt to make my essays stellar.

Just don’t apply to tough engineering majors.

@DrGoogle‌ what engineering majors are deemed tough exactly? Chemical is definitely tough.

update on SAT score

Calculate your UC GPA, see link: <a href=“GPA Calculator for the University of California – RogerHub”>http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/</a>
You cannot use your schools weighting system. Use the above calculator. Regardless of your actual UC GPA, you are a competitive appliant with your new SAT score.

UCLA/UCB: Match/High Match
UCSD: Match
UCI: Low Match

TheCalculator, I meant impacted majors, tough to get accepted. You can research or google impacted majors at the UC you are interested in. For example, at UCSD Computer Science is an impacted major.
