hurdlesrock:

UCLA/UCB: Slight Reach
UCSD: Match
UCD: Safe Match

Whoa, reality check. You only have a 3.85 weighted (I realize this is UC GPA but still), a 2050 and you're applying to those schools?

2050 estimated
well 2050 itself isn't such a bad score (depending on the school you are applying to are looking heavily on writing or not i guess)
but yea I agree with the above 3.85 weighted is a little...

Stanford = lotto school for nearly everyone. With below average gpa, Berk and UCLA remain reaches - both read essays. Hopkins could be a match if you shine in the essays. UCSD is quanititive --search their website and you can pretty much guess likelihood. Davis = safety.

everything non-academically related (your extracurriculars and volunteering) looks good. you still have huge pieces of the puzzle to fill, namely a real SAT score, at least two real SAT II scores, and a real junior year GPA. remember that this junior year GPA is going to be very important in terms of UC admissions because it is worth about half the overall UC GPA as they only look at 10th and 11th grades. come back and post again with actual scores and GPA after your junior year to get a better gauge as to where you stand. good luck.

thnx evreyone, just wondering if there are anymore suggestions for improving my chances

You really want to know how to improve your junior year grades? It's a bit too late to ask. You could have taken a couple of easy CC classes last summer and got A's, that would have helped raise your UC weighted GPA. The more important thing for you to do would have been to move from your 'top' school to a less demanding school where you could have got easier A's, easier AP teachers, and perhaps even rank in the top 4% for the ELC points ...
but that's all behind you now ... perhaps good advice to
pass on to your friends or siblings in freshman or sophomore years who may be in the same boat.
