I’m posting this again to get some other viewpoints:
What are my chances of getting into UCLA? My gpa and act scores aren’t that great. GPA is about 3.6 (unweighted) and act score with writing is 28/22 (I plan to retake it). I’m transgender so I don’t know if that plays a determining factor as well. I have taken AP Chemistry, AP Calculus, and AP Lang. Next year, my senior year, I will take Calc II, AP Physics, and AP Lit, maybe AP Bio too. Do I have a chance to get in? I would like to major in Chemistry. I’ve also done many extracurriculars. Thank you.
For UCLA, you want to aim for a 4.0 capped weighted GPA or higher with uncapped GPA and ACT test scores in the 31+ range for the best chances.

Here is the Freshman profile for 2015. Compare your stats and see where you stand. Also make sure you apply broadly and have some solid Match and Safety schools.
Transgender is not a hook so no special consideration but it could make for an interesting story.

Are you a CA resident? If not can you family pay $60,000/year as there is no aid for OOS.
