Chances @ UCSB....Please Comment

Well I'm only a junior, but I have estimated the worst possible grades I could end up with.

UC GPA = 3.69
GPA = 3.55UW/3.87W

Rank = Top 5% out of atleast 600+. I'm hoping for top 4% so i can get elc.

SAT = Don't know yet, but my psat estimates an 1880. I think I can get that to 2000 though.

AP + Honors Classes: HL Pre-Calc, AP Calc, AP English, AP US History, HL Chemistry, HL Spanish 3

Senior Schedule: AP Stats, AP Gov/Econ, AP Psych, Journalism, Physics, and English. (I may take AP Physics and AP English too, but I'm not sure yet)

Since I went over the UC cap my gpa drops a bit, but oh well. I will probably end up with something higher, but I want to know my chances if the worst were to happen.

EC's: Tennis, Journalism, Relay4Life, Key Club, Sign Language Club, American Cancer Society Club, Volleyball Club, Foreign Foods Club, EAOP, CSF. I'm a vice president for 2 clubs, treasurer of one, and I may be one of the editors in journalism next year. A few awards aswell.

I also have had family problems---to immediate family members have cancer. Will this help out at all? Don't know if I will use it, but if it will help I would write about it.

I want to major in communications. And I love UCSB so much, and I really want to go there. I visited it last year and I wasn't even considering it, but when i stepped on campus I knew it the school for me.

A 3.69 is the worst I could possibly get, but is it still good enough for UCSB....along with my other stuff.

Thanks

yeah isnt it a nice campus. by the looks of it i think you will get accepted.
