Chances @ UMich my #1 School!!!

<p>So I posted this on the "What are my chances?" forum, but I've been getting minimal responses. University of Michigan is my #1 choice by FAR, and I plan on applying early.</p>

Essays: I've been working on them, and I am unsure...I think they are decent, hopefully good! I like to write so I hope I am on the right track</p>

<p>So, as I said, I'm planning on getting my application turn in by the beginning of September.....
Also, would you say if I have a shot, do you think I could get into LSA Honors? I'm planning on majoring in History.

<p>Send one teacher rec, im sure that Michigan admissions hates extra papers. And get some volunteer work in this summer because 40 hours = VERY WEAK. Volunteer for something unique and that you have a passion in. Other than that, you are good. good luck</p>

<p>Michigan is a safe match for you. I like your chances. Michigan's History department is AMAZING! One of the top 5 or 6 in the nation. You are borderline for honors though.</p>

<p>You should be able to get in...I'd call it a match rather than a safe match. But don't expect anything, because you never know with college admissions.</p>

<p>On another note, as I recall you can send 2 teacher recs in...</p>

<p>You're a match. I had a similar GPA, test scores, and extracurriculars, all of which helped me gain admission this past year.</p>

<p>Regardless, apply early action.</p>

<p>From that, make sure to not screw up your senior year with stupid decisions. I've seen a few friends and non-friends over the year who were shoe-ins, but screwed up their chances by being lackadaisical in classes and making poor decisions out side of school.</p>
