<p>I'm a Hispanic Jew from Long Island, New York</p>

<p>Sat:
Verbal 630
Math 540
Writing 560</p>

<p>GPA 89/100 </p>

<p>I took AP American last year and this year Im taking:</p>

<p>AP Government
AP English
AP Physics B
Honors Hebrew
College Credited Spanish</p>

<p>I have lots of Extracurrics showing leadership. I will have great recomendations and a good essay. I also have a lot of work experience, community service, and awards.</p>

<p>Awards:
Bridge Building 1st place
Undefeated Debater
Fastest Breastroke for swim team
Science fair honorable mention in 9th and 10th grade</p>

<p>well....your SATs are a little on the low side. idk about your gpa..since uf does it by 4.0 not out of 100, but it is a B average so again, thats a little low. however, being a hispanic helps, and if your extracurriculars are good, etc, you have a shot. good luck!</p>

<p>You might get in... not sure how much Hispanic status will help. But, I believe you may be admitted because you will add to the diversity.</p>

<p>Your stats are weak, but my friend got in ED with an 1170 and a 4.2 GPA... At least, that's what he told me.</p>

<p>Hispanic status won't help at all, as UF doesn't have affirmative action, plus with all the Hispanic students applying from Miami anyways...</p>

<p>My friend with an 1100 , in state and asian, got in. Decent grades... it's not AA, but they want a diverse body I guess...</p>

<p>actually, yes they do.. they are a highly selective university.. check out stats of last yr's OOS'ers that didnt get into UF</p>
