Emory (TOP choice, nominated for Emory Scholar)-Match
WashU (nominated Danforth Scholar)-Match
Vandy (TN resident)
Tulane-Low Match
Brown-Reach for anyone, but your stats line up with them.
Cornell-Reach for anyone, but your stats line up with them.
Duke-Reach for anyone, but your stats line up with them.
UNC Chapel Hill (EA)- Your stats line up here but since you’re OOS it’s hard to chance any one. (OOS acceptance rate is only 14%)
Northwestern-Match
UT-Knoxville-Safety
UGA- Safety

I’d put money on you getting into Emory, Vandy, and Tulane, I’ve seen kids who are less qualified get in.

Thank you, I’ll be sure to chance you back!

Anyone else?

shameless BUMPPPPP.
Any more opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Emory cares alot about rigor that is the most important thing they look at so that is good you have that. Good ACT score as well. I would say you get into Emory ONLY if you show alot of demonstrated interest… but your ACT score is a little low for Emory Scholars no offense.
UNC- OOS so i can’t say
DUke- Probably Not
WashU- Match like Emory
Cornell/Brown- Crapshoot I have no idea
Vandy- In state you will most likely get in
Tulane- Most Likely
Northwestern- Crapshoot but most likely you won’t get in
Uga/UT-Knox- 100% will get in

Thanks for your honesty!
I have visited Emory, emailed my adcom, and talked to the person at the booth at the college fair in my city. I know the Scholars program is a long shot, but I was hoping that would show interest as well. Also, from what I’ve heard scores aren’t as important as the essay for the scholars program.
I showed a lot of interest in WashU and Vandy (visited both), so I’m hoping to be accepted to those as well.
Also, I’m Persian if it makes a difference for diversity or whatever. And I’ve given my essay to two of my AP English teachers and my counselor and they all really liked it, so that should be solid on my application.
Anyways, thanks again, and if you have any suggestion on how to show more interest it would be greatly appreciated. :)

One last bump…I’m getting more and more nervous.

So far:
Accepted to Tulane (Honors program and merit money) and UGA (honors program and merit money also).
Waitlisted at WashU, which was pretty devastating.

Oh and deferred at UNC Chapel Hill.

Another result that I forgot to add is that I was accepted to Emory’s Oxford college with merit money. Still waiting on every other place.
