Chances ( very nervous)

No, apply on the last day and write terrible essays for a better chance. jk =P

Anyways, yeah, apply before nov.1st and write good essays and you’ll be fine. From what I’ve heard, U of M doesn’t really care about essays, but its still good to make them great.

ok…thanks. I really hope i get full need-based else i might be stuck going to random state university.

oh and just so you know, michigan isn’t guaranteeing a 100% full need. However, you should be getting around 25k in grants given your financial situation.
There will also be loans, workstudy included in your package as well.

it costs ~25K for one year. Are u saying they will most likely give me 20K or what?

Given your financial situation. Most likely (and I say most likely), you will get enough to pay for your tuition and room & boarding. However, there isn’t a guarantee. Square said you should be getting 25K and that’s in grants, that covers pretty much all of your tuition and room. Grants do not have to be repaid.

You can calculate your expected family contribution at [University of Michigan Office of Financial Aid: Financial Aid Calculators](http://www.finaid.umich.edu/financial_aid_basics/calculators.asp)

my EFC is $0 from me and my parents’ income. Now my question…how good is Umich for pre-med?

thank you! how much weight do they put on essays?

A good essay will help someone who is borderline. But judging from your score, you’ll get in regardless.

But even knowing that, I know you won’t blow off your essay amirite? ;)

^haha you are absolutely right. Sometimes I dont know why I work so hard when I can take it easy and have it come to the easy way…lol

You know there are other scholarships beside the ones UM will give out. Considering your ethnicity (Go Go Desi Go:)), you will get financial aid.
