Chances & ways to help get into Villanova?

Hi everyone! Villanova is my dream school and I'm currently a junior. Can anyone help me with my chances and my ways to improve them?

I've taken all honors classes since middleschool. I had Ap US sophomore year, ap english junior year and im taking ap art history seniro year. My math sat is 610, my writing 620 and im working to get my cr up to a 600 as well. I have 150+ hours of volunteer service, i serve as a library board council member, intern at nordstrom, editor in chief of the newspper and yearbok next year among other clubs. Im a member of the spanish honor society and am pretty sure I will be in the national honor society as well. Im willing to pay full cost if i get into vilanova. If i have no chance of getting in, do i have any chance of at least getting waitlisted?

Are there anyways i can improve my chances?

Thank you so much and i appreicate it very much!!

Also i am a white female roman catholic. i have a 3.65 unweighted and 3.9 weighted gpa.

I’d take a second AP senior year, take the SATs a total of 3 times, and apply early action (there is no downside - the worst that happens is you get deferred).

My son took a $100 online Kaplin sat prep class, which worked out well. I think the price is now $150.

Show them that you are interested in the school.

I visited the school the summer before my senior year, and made a myNova account during the summer. I visited again during the fall, and a third time for the engineering open house. I talked to the faculty of the engineering and business programs.

My ACT was a 31, and I had a weighted GPA of 3.8. Try to bump your SAT up a little bit, show them you’re interested, and write a beast essay. I think you have a very good chance at getting in.

Hi Nicole, may I suggest you go to the thread Class of 2015 Regular Decisions and read it Very. Carefully. Then go back and re-read it, reading between the lines. You will see a pattern for the accepted students. Good luck

more than anything, get a lot of community service hours…and dont write 150+ or like that…(dont give a number to the hours)…instead tell the college what u gained from the community service…there will be a lot of kids who have 200+ hours but very few who write about what they gained from this…reflect and show the college that you are grateful for what you have…i am telling you from personal experience…I dont think my SATs were good enough (1200 out of 1600) but I have a passion for community service and Villanova acknowledged that by admitting me to the class of 2015. I think you have a strong courseload…just make your application unique and genuine. good luck :)

Thank you all very much! It is very appreciated :)

There are Jewish, atheist and Hindu students at Villanova. As I understand it, any Christian should feel comfortable in the University, but an atheist may not.

The Villanova question asks you to incorporate an Augustinian perspective into your answer, which can be intellectually done if you wish.
