Alright, first of all I am from the Caribbean...and I will be doing the SATs soon and I will do Biology, Chemistry and level 2 Math as well as World History. I already know that I need VERY high scores on them but judging by the subjects I have taken...would my choice of subjects influence my chances?I am leaning towards a Mathematics degree but I am more of a little of everything kind of person so I may even switch. Oh, one more thing, I am doing the World History in order to show my diversity, and I hope to get above 650 but nothing extremely high like 800.

My GPA is 4.0. I have been in Key CLub for 3 years, Chess club president for one year, I have been in the Quiz club for 4 years, and Secretary of my Spanish club. Two consecutive years(grades 9 and 10) in student council then became a sub-prefect.

My main strengths are in essay writing as I have numerous 3rd, 2nd and 1st place awards for national competitions on topics such as global warming, globalization, women's rights and about the future of science among other topics. I have a prestigious(well, at least at my school it is prestigious) award/bursary for "outstanding performance in academics, extracurricular activities, and for unselfish contribution to school and fellow students" and another for best essay in end of year exams. Also, I was invited to a national function for students with excellence in academic work.

I have done volunteer work but not much just 2 visits to children's homes and a hospice in the last two years. But I did a lot through Key Club like fundraisers, visits to schools etc.

I aced my CXCs/CSECs(our equivalent of SATs and GCEs/GCSEs) and I have an A in GCE History and Additional Mathematics. I will be doing at least one year of CAPE(our version of A Levels/AP) but I wll skip the second year if I get accepted.
The subjects I did in the CXC/CSEC include Spanish, Mathematics, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Information Technology. I will do mathematics, Biology, History and Chemistry in CAPE(equivalent to A-Levels).

Top 3(I think I came first in my final exams but we stoped ranking) and prior years in other grades I have been top 10 at worst and number 1 at best. Number in class, about 40...50 at most.My school is very competitive and one of the best in the country. Also, in my grade alone there are about 250 students(if that helps).

So, what are my chances for Ivy League or equivalent school? What do I need to add or improve upon? My aim is for Princeton by the way.

Also, will apply for financial need(will need close 100%). Also, single parent family and very low income.
