<p>That’s not true AT ALL. Doing something over the summer that directly connects to your major would help you write a better essay and stand out from other applicants that do nothing over the summer (you’d be surprised how many just lay around and watch TV). It would also help you show your passion easier, rather than just sayin “I have passion” on paper.</p>
