I apologize if this is an excessive amount of information. I would just really like to know what are the basic things I can do (besides write a strong essay, which is in the works) to improve my chances of getting into UPenn, etc.

I believe your chances are very high, someone from my PUBLIC school, with not as much vigor as you got into Brown and Dartmouth and ended up at Cal Poly with a fat grant, so I presume your chances being fairly high.

Are you first generation?

No. I don’t think I have any hooks going for me.

But your awards and EC are still very high. What are your grades?

I had a B+ in Art and Spanish during Freshman year, a B+ in Spanish Sophomore year and all As Junior year. I had high As in math and science all three years though.

I took 8 AP classes and had As in all of them. I also self-studied 2 APs. I think that I did good and am anticipating 4s and 5s in all of them. Plus, I’m taking IB classes so idk how that will go.

That’s great! I think that now all you need to do is make sure you have a great personal statement

Thanks for chancing me!

Your chances seem quite high for all the schools, although keep working to make sure your GPA will be as high as possible when you apply and especially, if there was a particular reason for which it wasn’t during freshman year, try to explain that on the application. Good luck!

Please chance me back!
