UC San Diego: likely
UC Davis: Likely
Georgia Tech: Possible- more difficult though
Urbana Champagne: likely/possible
UT Austin: possible/reach
Purdue: likely
UMich: if youre referring to Ann Arbor its going to be a reach

Good luck!!

I think you will definitely get into UC San Diego, UC Davis, and Purdue. UT Austin is a pretty good match since you’re right at their average ACT, but Urbana Champagne, UMich, and Georgia Tech are probably possible/reaches. By the way, my friend is at Georgia Tech for engineering and absolutely loves it. I’d appreciate if you could chance me back. Thanks and good luck!!

UC San Diego is not definite. 4.04 capped UC GPA is below UCSD’s average of 4.13.

I think I should have used “likely” instead of definite. I think you stand a very solid chance though because of your above average ACT score and 8 AP classes. They’ll recognize the rigor paired with the GPA.

also can you follow through on the chance back please

@motivatedjunior‌
The UCs do not care much about rigor and test scores.

The rigor is often cancelled out by the weighted cap that most UCs use to calculate GPA.

“UC calculates a weighted GPA limited to 4 years of honors courses with no more than 2 years of 10th grade honors courses. In other words, for a semester calendar, which many U.S. schools use, 8 semesters of honors points with no more than 4 semesters of honors points from courses completed in the 10th grade.”

The UCs care even less about test scores (perhaps the ACT is different though).

@Mangiafuoco‌ Oh, thanks! Sorry, wasn’t aware of that.

Will do as soon as I get home

GT is a low reach due to the UW GPA and ACT. I’m a freshman at GT so feel free to ask me any questions

bump

I’d say you’re pretty solid on UT Austin- that’s about where there scores/GPA averages are

UC San Diego: match/ high match
UC Davis: match/high match
Georgia Tech: match
Urbana Champagne: match
UT Austin: low match
Purdue: match/highmatch
UMich: reach

chance back?

im sorry im nervous guys :stuck_out_tongue: could anyone chance me? Correction though I applied to UCSD for molecular biology.
