Chance on a 1-10 scale? 1 being a safety, 10 being a dream school/reach and does it do commonapp?

Your transcript seems great for UMich, SAT’s are slam-dunk, and the EC’s are relatively strong (not too much leadership)… your GPA is alarming, unless you go to a highly ranked school or really challenged yourself throughout high school, which it seems like you did… 4 (considering it’s 50% acceptance rate, and all your other creds match up very well), it’s basically the GPA that brings you down, but I say you have a decent chance

oh and UMich has its own app, it’s off the CommonApp
you can get it on the school website

good essays and recs also go a long way!!

Please chance me back!!

i think ur chances right now depends on whether or not u applied early decision or not. If you did apply early decision, i think you have a good shot, probably a 3 or 4 on the scale. If you applied regular decision, then its pretty hard, especially since you are OOS, probably 7 or 8 on the scale.

best of luck!!!

I applied early decision to NYU thinking I’d have a better shot at getting in.

i think you’ll be fine in regards to applying to UMich. . .i’ve seen kids with much lower SAT scores get in. . .your gpa is kind of so so, but it’s good enough. i’d say a 3 if 1 is safety.
