I know UChicago depends heavily on essays, with good ones I’d say you’re in
Yale and Harvard are reaches for everyone, not much else to say
Georgetown - high match, low reach
NYU, Northeastern and Northwestern I’d say low match/match

On a 1-10 scale, 1 means definitely in, 10 means lottery ticket

Hamilton - ?
Northeastern - 2
Northwestern - 5
NYU - 6
U Chicago - 6
Georgetown - 7
Yale - 10
Harvard - 10

i think you’d get into all except harvard, yale, and perhaps a waitlist from either chicago, northwestern, or georgetown

U. Chicago- don’t know
Yale- competitive, but luck decides
Harvard- (same as Yale)
Georgetown- competitive, solid chance
Hamilton- idk
Northwestern-idk
Northeastern- probably in
NYU- probably in

Northeastern-In
NYU-Match
Georgetown and Northwestern are low reaches
The others seem like reaches, but that may depend on your essay and letters

waitlisted-Georgetown
accepted-everywhere besides Harvard and Yale
very tough getting into an ivy with no AP’s or any inclination that you tried to take classes elsewhere

PLEASE BE ABSOLUTELY HONEST!!!

For EnAll: Your rank and GPA look good, but Harvard and Yale seem out of reach because they require a lot more for EC’s. Every where else seems within your reach. The no AP’s are definitely gonna hurt you though…

Pros
Solid grades (adcoms will treat it equal to a 4.0 I believe)
Solid SAT scores and ACT scores
Solid rank comparative to the type of high school
You’re still a junior (?)

Cons
No AP courses (you can take these even if your high school doesn’t offer them)
No hook
EC’s need a direction (HYPSM look for passion)

Harvard- reach
Georgetown- high match
Hamilton-match
Northwestern-match
Northeastern- match
NYU- match

Like many others have said, youre going to need a killer essay for these schools. Congrats on your great SAT scores and leadership positions, but I still think youll need a little something extra to get in.

Do you have any safeties? All of your schools are good, but do you have any freebies just in case? Id look at a state school or two (youre from NY, so maybe SUNY Binghamton?) Not that you couldnt get into the schools you have above, but I think it would be wise to include one or two that you know for sure you could get into.

Thanks and good luck!

For Chicago, it’s true the essays are a huge factor. Yale and Harvard are reaches for everyone. For the rest of them, matches. Very good GPA and rank.

Thanks for chancing me! :)

U. Chicago: high match
Yale: reach
Harvard: reach
Georgetown: low reach
Hamilton: dont know much about it but seems like you’d be in
Northwestern: match
Northeastern: in
NYU: in

i think you have really good ECs. it’s true that they may be a little broad, but maybe emphasize a particular passion that relates to one of them in your essay and make it really good. that should solidify you.

good luck!

the only thing i can really say is that you’re EC’s are a bit scattered. i can’t really tell where your passion or love is.

as for the lack of AP’s and Honors courses, since your school doesn’t offer any, i’m not sure you’ll be penalized for that. but the adcoms might wonder why you didn’t self study any of them. your SAT scores, however, show that you’re competent. Your CR score in particular, demostrates that you’re ready for college work.

sorry if i couldn’t be of anymore help :/

You definitely have a great chance for U. Chicago,Georgetown,Hamilton,Northwestern and
Northeastern University.I’m not sure about Harvard and Yale.Your scores and stats are very good but you may need some more extracurricular activities and maybe some competitions you won or at least participated in.

In for Northwestern and NYU for sure. NYU is a great school that attracts people of all levels, not just 33’s. If you are going for Stern, make sure you have a good app. That college is as hard as an Ivy league’s admission. The Ivy’s are a bit of a reach. For one, it is an ivy league and you never know if you’re going to be going against by some kid from some private school that spends his hours reading an ACT prep book. These kids know nothing, but have a knack to get into those schools. Second, lack of AP’s. These schools will know you’re a smart kid, but a lack of AP can hurt a tad.

You have great stats and extra cirics, so you will know have to worry about that. I say that honestly. I have to refute a claim above that says your extra’s do not focus on a passion, but I see a lot of argument based stuff. That’s perfect, and shows a lot of what you are.

However, you should now work on “soft” factors. Essays and such.

UChicago is all about the essay. Essay, essay, essay, essay. Write a good one.

In the end, all the schools but the Ivys seem to be a easy, easy fit.

I would like you to get on my chances also, because you seem to be educated and have a good standing on schools.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/822763-nyu-gallatin-school-individualized-study-gallatin-schoo.html

You have a good chance at all. Just make sure you separate yourself with some really nice essays since there will be competition from other applicants who have taken honors and AP classes however the admission officers look at you within the context of your school sooo yeah :-). Good luck!
