i think u have a chance, but it wouldnt hurt to raise your SAT I math score by the time you apply to CMU =)

Scan down this page and see "First-Year Admission Statistics 2004-05".

From what you posted, I would say you have a fairly good but not great chance. How interested are you in Carnegie Mellon? If it's your top choice, consider applying early. It could help your chances.

It's hard to get a definite read on your chances because you didn't include some things CIT will look at strongly, like strength of schedule you are taking. For instance 3.6 GPA unweighted could be looked at either way. If you have all or a lot of APs then that's real good, but if not, it's substandard.

And I would agree with kanagawajin that it would be a good idea to retake the SAT Is. Your SAT IIs are fine.

Carnegie wants to see a well rounded student not just somebody wit 2200 SAT's..make sure you have good EC's , alot of volunteer work, a tough curriculum your senior year, good recommendations, strong essays, let them know of any projects your working on or any awards you've received..previous job experiences..to give you some hope my SAT's were only 1830 both times i took them and i got accepted RD.. so work on your overall resume but like the others said it wouldnt hurt to raise your scores or apply early decision

Best of luck

Not to bring his hopes down but you are hispanic and I think female? :)

cdestinyn13, I'm assuming you'll be a freshman this fall. What college and major will you be pursuing? And good luck to the OP!!
