I got a d in ap environmental second semester of junior year. I have a 3.6 average and 1800 on my sat and I'm wondering if my chances are reuined for getting into UC's or CSU's?

Any way you can drop the grade from your transcript? Doors tend to close with D grades. What UCs/CSUs are you looking at?

EDIT: Also, is there any particular reason you got a D? Apps have places where you can write about extenuating circumstance.

I was looking at ucsc cause that was probably my best shot and I’m looking at sdsu csulb csuf cal poly slo. I didn’t really do my work but I understood the material and I’m waiting to get the ap results but I’m pretty sure I got a 3 on the test

Not knowing if you are using this class for your A-G requirements…if you are…then you know the answer…nothing lower than a C is counted. [University of California - A-G subject requirements](http://www.ucop.edu/agguide/a-g-requirements/) …and as a junior you can not repeat the class and have it counted.
If this class is not being used for anything more than elective…then…the UC/CSU pool has been reduced, but still may be viable on the lower tiered schools. IF you pull off a 5 in your AP exam…then you may be able to make a case for schools that are more holistic in their reviews.
G-Luck!
