<p>Applying to Stanford, Columbia, Cornell, and Rice for Computer Science. Thoughts?</p>

<p>Academics</p>

<p>3.9 UW GPA, 4.42 Weighted
SAT: 2270 composite: 800 CR, 800 M, 670 W (yay for 1600!)
SAT 2: 770 Math II, 620 Chem (eek...)
ACT: 33 composite: 35 Math, 34 Reading, 30 Science, 31 English (8 essay)
AP: US Hist (3), Chem (4), Calc BC (5), Lang (5), Stats (4), Physics C (4), Euro Hist (4)</p>

<p>Taking AP Psych, AP Literature, AP Micro/Macro, AP Government this year, as well as Differential Equations and Calc 3 at local university</p>

<p>National Merit Commended
AP Scholar of Distinction (or whatever its called)
Questbridge Finalist</p>

<p>Extracurriculars</p>

<p>TSA (9-12): State Officer (speeches to 2000 students, planning conference, etc), President all 4 years, multiple State Trophies in Video Game Design and Tech Bowl
VEX Robotics (9-11): Won 2 State tournies, personally won award for good engineering notebook
Math Team (9-12): Mathfax 2nd place Nationally, County winner Pre-Calc and Calculus
Academic Team (10-12): County Top three team past 2 years
NHS (10-12)</p>

To Write Love On Her Arms (11-12)
Church Youth Group (9-12): Went on mission trips to New Orleans and Key West</p>

<p>Also do paid tutoring in Math, such as Algebra 2 and Geometry.</p>

<p>That’s what I was thinking too. Though I am applying to Stanford I am really focusing my efforts on Cornell because I have a real shot there. At Cornell only looks at cr+m for sat, so a 1600 should help.</p>
