I am currently a Junior in a top high school in Southern California. I have a low GPA and okay EC's. I transferred from Norcal the summer before Sophomore year and that summer I regretfully chose to focus on sports rather than grades and school work. Also, I could not take AP's that year because I transferred late in the summer and the school gave me random classes. The first two weeks were mostly spent in the counselors office getting my classes straightened out so my grades went downhill from there. I took an SAT prep class this past summer and did well on practice tests (2100+) so I'm aiming for a 2200+ on my SAT that I plan to take next semester. I'm hoping for my improvement this year to catch the attention of admissions officers.
