chances with new SATs please?

<p>please let me know what my chances are now that I've retaken the SATs. Smith is one of my top schools, though I won't be applying ED (anywhere).</p>

<p>GPA: 4.0 (weighted) 3.77 (unweighted)
SATs: 2040: 760 CR, 700 W, 580 M
SAT II : lit-710 us history-680
APUSH: 5
Rank: 23 out of 125</p>

<p>I am bi-racial (African American and white) and attend an inner city high school, though my family is not low income and both my parents have pHDs</p>

<p>Anticipated major: double major in Womens Studies and Middle Eastern Studies (dance minor) -I'm hoping based on my interests they won't care so much about my SAT in math</p>

3-week dance festival at Sarah Lawrence College w/ faculty from Julliard and Tisch (12th)

Summer School Counseler in Electronics and Woodworking classes (10th)</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Ballet classes and performances (Nutcracker, Snow White etc.)
Teaching ballet to Autistic children
Teen Court (youth restorative justice program)
Biology Tutor
President of the Honor Society
Member of Student Government
Organized a Fundraiser for Heifer International in 10th grade
I've done several other activities that were more minor...</p>

<p>I don’t think Smith looks at test scores that closely as other schools. I believe it is test optional. Your GPA looks good as well as your SAT. I personally don’t think they put as much emphasis on your test scores if your GPA is good. Just my two cents.</p>

<p>FWIW your stats are very similar to my daughter’s and your overall profile looks very good. She got in RD and I think you have a very good chance as well. Good luck!</p>

<p>america2011: yes, Smith is SAT optional but I will be submitting my scores. I’ll also be submitting the lit SAT, do you think I should submit the US history test?</p>

<p>Sarah, I think your APUSH 5 is a more favorable indicator than your SAT history 680, but both are fine; they show you’re consistent in your testing.</p>
