It sounds like you go to a rigorous school and have taken a very demanding curriculum, which colleges definitely notice. ^ I agree with Acceptd that your course rigor/extracurriculars make you a very strong candidate for any of the schools that you have applied to, and being a legacy can only help. Good luck! :)

thanks you guys/girls are great

Your friend has very high chances of being accepted at Emory/Georgia Tech and pretty much IN for everything else (except perhaps North Carolina State about which I do not know much and can not comment). Good luck.

Ha above poster made my night

im chancing you back,
pretty much a shoe in for all except emory

85% chance for all except emory 70-75%chance for emory

yd u even bother with a chance threaD? u have no reach schools...

am i missing something?

pretty much all target-matches, with the exception of Emory. But your ECs and SATII are quite impressive, so I'd say you have a pretty good chance there as well.
please chance back!

I gotta start agreeing with acceptd, there really are no reaches here, which are the ones that people usually worry about, and this thread is bordering on 150 posts now. I think you have enough opinions. And before some crazy bastarde points to my thread for having a lot of responses, I am no longer asking people to chance me anymore, as pretty much all of the CC vets have done it already. You can only take so many opinions from completely random, unqualified people to only boost your confidence. And I understand, it's a good feeling when someone tells you that you can get into a school, but think about it, what do they know? They might have contacts with adcoms at the school, or they may be a student at the schools that you are applying to, but their situations, whether experienced first-hand or talked about with an employee of the school, are not guaranteed to apply to you. Anyways, I think you should get my point, but I'm just a cynical, sleep-deprived teenager who thinks that you have too many damn replies in your thread.

Sorry, it could be worse, I could have liek 10 chance threads. Idk, I like hearing opinions, not necessarily only as confidence booster, but so I can be realistic. I would have reaches, but to be honest I am not a fan of ivy colleges idk why. I'd rather go to a school in area of like 11-30.

Thanks for the chance.

I think you have a good shot at all of these, as many have said.

Emory would be the only questionable one, but you have a legacy boost which should suffice.

Thanks for chancing me =)
Emory-ED II (legacy)-idk your grades are nice but ur sat score ..., but u do have legacy ... (70-80%)
Georgia Tech-in (99%)
University of Rochester- should be in (95+%)
Syracuse University-in (98%)
University of Pittsburgh-in
Penn St- in
Case Western University-in(100%)
North Carolina State-in(100%)

ok, I dont really think you have to worry about your scores for any of those schools...everything else sort of makes up for it! good luck!

I think you have very good chances at the schools you are looking at, the only criticism I have is on the Reading and Writing of SAT, kinda low, but they shouldn't be a major problem.

wow you have a lot of EC. I think your high EC will balance out your gpa/SAT scores. Increase your math SAT to get into Georgia Tech.

Other than that you have a great change in all the other colleges.

Bump 10char

I think you have good chances at all these colleges. I think Emory would be the hardest among those schools to get into. Your SAT I's are kind of low (although I have no idea what the exact ranges for these schools are), but other things make up for it so I'd say not to worry :)

I think you have a fair shot. if you've gotten a's 4/5 in your ap classes you should be fine.
if you're worried you could improve your sats

can somebody please answer a quick question? it's been bugging me for a long time now, i keep seeing "bump" or "bump 10 char" everywhere. what does that mean lol

When someone posts in a topic, it moves to the top of the list. A bump is simply a post that moves the topic back up. CC has a rule that all posts need to be 10 characters long, so people will post 10char so that the post meets the minimum.

glad my thread is useful to others haha
