Low reach for WashU-if it’s your top choice then ED. Although Math and/or Physics do not have the best reputations at the school.

WashU is probably a low-reach or meet school for you. I’d apply to lower end schools to be safe though

And agree with Hamurtle… WashU is known for pre-med I’d say, not so sure about math/physics. Could work in your favor though

My daughter had stats quite similar to yours: 3.97 uw GPA and 2300 SAT.

She was accepted to WashU with a merit offer (though she ended up attending Rice). I think that her essay played a significant role in her acceptance as well as a decisive role in the scholarship offer, so be sure that you devote plenty of effort to this aspect of your application.

She was reject RD from Penn.

In sum, with strong essays, you have a solid chance for RD admission at WashU; if you are serious about Penn, you should consider applying ED.
