Chances? :x

Ahh I feel bad whenever I create a chances thread, but I can't help but be curious as to how much of a match or reach USC would be for me. When you reply, don't just tell me what my chances are, but I would really appreciate it if you guys can also give me tips of what I can do during my last part of junior year, summer, and beginning of senior year to help boost my chances. I really really want to go to this school (:

Culminative GPA (uw) as of junior year: 3.8
SAT I: 2090 (I took the test again May 1st, waiting for new score... ><)
Rigor of Classes: Full IB Diploma (all classes junior and senior year will be IB--most challenging set of classes my school can offer)
School Clubs: National Honor Society, Biology Club, Japanese National Honor Society, and hopefully Link Crew in senior year.
Extracurriculars: Competitive dance since 8th grade, 12+ hours of dance per week and won 3rd place at a nationals for a dance competition. Worship leader at church. I will also be teaching dance classes over the summer as a job.

I know I don't have a crazy bunch of varsity sports and a whole bunch of leadership/extracurriculars, but it's because dance eats up my time... I hope that USC values commitment more than quantity because I've really committed myself a lot to my single passion and I hope they recognize that haha. And my GPA and SAT are both pretty low... Hoping to break the 2100 (I mean, 2090? really? fml!!!) mark with the retake, but I'm not too confident because I didn't prepare much before so I'm scared the new score will be lower ): My GPA dropped considerably because I struggled with 5 IB classes and 1 college-leveled class at the onset of junior year... But I think I adapted decently because I'm pretty close to getting all As except for one class in second semester so far. I hope that counts as an upward trend?

So anyways, considering all this, what are my honest chances at USC, and what can I do to make my application more competitive? Also, my mom's feeling iffy about USC because she thinks the surrounding area is unsafe. For those who are students there now, is it really unsafe?

Also, if I were to be applying for the Marshall business school, would that affect my admissions chances as an undergrad at all? Would they review my application on a stricter standard since the business school is very prestigious?
