Chances (yes, click this one!)

Hey guys.
I'm a senior from one of the most competitive high schools in NYC.

Here are my stats:

GPA: 92/3.7~ UW
(we don't weigh or rank.)

SAT: October 2005
M 790
V 610
W 720
T: 2120
yes, the verbal section is very unattractive, but it was my first time I took the SATs. It'll be my last time, too..

SAT 2:
World History 750
Math 2c (in December) 750~?

APs:
World History 5
(Taking CalcAB, Stat, Bio, and Macroecon this year)
I asked my College mentor and she said most "competitive" kids take 5~ APs in our school.

Extracurricular Activities:
(Pretty bland and boring..)
-President of a club (FBLA), member of few other clubs, Cross Country, Tutor, Volunteer at both hospital and police station, [Each activity was 3-4 years]

I don't have many, so I hope dedication will factor in more.

-And a one-month study-abroad trip to Japan during the summer of Junior year. I'm planning to write my essays about this experience, as it was an unforgettable one. My Japanese teacher will write one of my recs, I'll probably minor in Japanese, and I think my Mentor/other teacher rec will mention my fascination for Japanese culture and this trip too. Hopefully, everything ties in together..

I'm applying to:

CUNY Honors
SUNY Bing
BU
BC
UMich
NYU (Sterns?!)
Dartmouth
Columbia
UCLA
UCB
USC

Likely major: Business

My top choices (personally) are UCLA and USC.
I'm really hoping things go well for either of these schools.
If it helps, I've been to almost every USC event in my area (visit in my high school twice, an orientation in the city for interested kids, etc.)
Oh, and my UC GPA is 3.8UW/4.0W.

My dad is making me apply to Columbia/Dartmouth. I wouldn't mind Dartmouth, but Columbia is too close to home. I don't even have to worry about that though, because they are super-duper-cooper-whopper(i want one now)-reaches.

Thanks!

Eddieee:

UCB/UCLA: Slight Reach (out of state)

Stern, Dartmouth and Columbia will all be reaches with the weak verbal and lack of solid leadership ECs.

UMICH is a match
