I know we’ll be receiving letters within a few days, but I can hardly contain my anxiety and excitement. I’m looking for a few opinions, perhaps from some BC students themselves?
Thank you!

ECs:

Essays + Recs: Recommendations were great, one from the history chairperson whom I had written a song cycle for as an extra credit project, one from my literature teacher (a Brown University student), and one from my choir director which wasn’t too well-written.

The essays are my strongest point. I’d written my main essay about my favorite songwriter, Paddy McAloon. I discussed his cathartic effect on my life following my mother’s heart attack, and how his words and music influenced my desires to change people’s lives with my own songwriting and lyricism.

Hooks: First in immediate family to attend university. I’d also experienced two significant tragedies during my high school years, which my guidance counselor may have highlighted in his recommendation letter.

Thanks again for any consideration!
