I am a middle class white american male on a substantial scholarship at a canadian prep school (Ridley College) that consistantly places kids in ivies. I attended american public school in upstate NY for freshman and sophmore years and am at ridley for my jr and senior years.

stats:

SAT: I anticipate a 2100 at lowest (i usually test very well)
PSAT: above a 200 as a sophomore, cannot take this year because i am in canada
SAT II: Will take French, math, literature, and two histories
AP: Had I stayed in the U.S., i would have taken a lot of aps jr and senior year, but the prep school philosophy is different in regard to that.
GPA: around a 98 average 9th and 10th grade, i should have between a 91 and a 93 up here, simply due to the harder grading tendancies
* school does not rank, but I would be in the top 5%

i know that there are a lot of blanks as far as test scores at this point, but am i on the right track?

I feel that the background that you have doesn't really correlate to the average Stanford admit. Sorry.

I don't think you're on the right track. Switch things up.

Sarcasm...

haha... my non- response was due to a lack of internet access... not a lack of appreciation for your humor...

i am also an american in canada applying to stanford. Your activities look good, but it might help to do debate or Model United Natiosn or another activity that is big down in the states so that they can compare you to applicants from hte states

what school do you go to?

Stanford throws out everything from Freshman year....... and you can't spell consistently ;) What sort of awards have you received? Any passion that really stands out? You're very well-rounded.

haha yeah... well i didnt pay much attention to spelling in elementary school ( i hope that doesnt hurt me lol)... throwing out freshman year would have very little if any effect on me... to be honest, i don't know if i have any "major" awards, although there are quite a few minor things that could be taken as awards... my biggest passion has always been hockey- i spend a significant amount of time playing, practicing and training for it and i am a pretty good goalie (if i wanted to, i would have a chance to play DIII hockey)... thank you for the compliment, i try my best to have interests in many areas...
