<p>Let me preface this by saying I Have no authority on this issue whatsoever. That being said, I'd say you have a viable chance. You don't amazingly stand out but are very solid all-around, and I think you have a good chance.</p>
<p>The Chicago admissions counselor was pretty adament about the fact that geographic location doesn't affect your admissions decision - she really emphasized that it was only a myth, and I doubt that she would lie about that.</p>
<p>Wildcat, saying that it doesn't is a myth. I know people from Montana that have substantially lower scores and stats than I did. For the point of this I'll say that my SAT score was in the 75th percentile, my rank was top 3% and I had a ton of awards and service, along with a passionate hook. My admissions counselor (the Chicago one) all but came out and said that it was because of where I was from, I've talked to her on numerous occasions about my application and it has definitely been mentioned as a factor. Notre Dame prides itself on having students from everywhere... I'm not arguing against it but I'm telling you that location definitely affects admission.</p>
