Chances??

White male, attending a Math & Science High School in Virginia (selective enrollment), applying to Engineering School for Fall 2011 enrollment.

GPA: 4.1
ACT (using super score): Composite: 33; E: 32; M: 33; R: 34; S: 31, W: 26
SAT: M: 650; CR: 630; W: 600

I took the SAT first and then the ACT. Did better on the ACT so I took it again.

Have taken AP classes since Junior Year in math, science, and history. Dual enrollment in Engineering. 4 years of Latin.

EC: marching band (section leader), jazz band, robotics, community service

I am also applying to Georgia Tech, VA Tech, and Rensselaer. Thanks in advance for you input.

My daughter was accepted into the College of Engineering for Biomedical Engineering as an EA applicant.

Her composite ACT was 30
SAT - 660 Reading/670 Math/740 Writing
GPA 4.83
Rank - #5 of 522

She was also invited to apply to their University Honors Program.

In-state applicant. White female. Lots of extra curricular, volunteer, sports. Coaches youth softball teams, plays Viola. National Honor Society, Math and Spanish Honor Societies, etc.

She was also accepted at USC Columbia and is on their Honors Program and UGA for Biomedical Engineering. Still waiting to hear from Chapel Hill.

I got in early decision, and I had about the same SAT and just a little bit higher GPA assuming that’s your weighted one. I’m not sure how your out-of-state residency will factor in with admission, but I think that you have a pretty good chance.

Be confident, I bet that you’ll get in.
