chances!

Would major in Community health, which i THINK is in the college of arts and sciences

SAT: 2120 (1410 M+V)
SAT II: 730, 750, 760
GPA: 4.0 UW, 4.5 W
AP: 5 US, 5 Span, 3 Eng. Lang.

ECs: nothing too big here, hospital volunteer, Editor in Chief, Director of Newsletter, employed, you get the idea...

:-) Yep, and I plan to visit soon...by the way, are interviews before or after the application is sent??

I think that your chances are pretty good, and that you're definitely a competitive applicant. It's good that you plan to visit, because Tufts pays attetion to that type of thing, and loves to see its applicants express interest in the school. By the way, the community health major is in the college or arts and sciences, and can only be taken as a second major if my memoiry serves me right. I'm pretty sure intereviews would be after the application is sent, as they won't know to schedule an interview with you unless they've received your application. Good luck!

recieved new SAT I scores: 2200

very stoked, dude (in my best california accent)!

That score will definitely help you Elanor... just remember to make you're essays genuine and original and I'd say your chances would be excellent.

What's the split? Anyone know how heavily Tufts weighs the writing portion?

"Hello,
Thank you for your interest in Tufts University.

Before the new SAT I, Tufts required all applicants to submit the SAT II
Writing score along with 2 other SAT IIs. So writing has always been
very important to us. We will definitely be using the SAT I writing
score along with all other data in making admission decisions. There is
no "weight" assigned to any of this and no cut-off scores.

I hope this answers your question. We wish you well in your college
search.
