Chances?

I am an out-of-state applicant, Alabama, and here are my stats:
GPA of a 3.4 UW and a 3.7W. I got a 27 on the ACT. I am involved in 3-4 EC's and plan on getting community service in the summer time. I have always taken honors and college prep courses and plan to take more honors and an AP my senior year. So what do you think my chances are?

I hear a lot of OOS go there so I wouldn’t think that would be a detriment except for the fact that you applied late. I got in but for spring. My acceptance later included :
" Your credentials reflect a student with a promising academic future. However, the University has experienced an unprecedented number of applications from around the world and is unable to accommodate more students for Fall 2011 admission."

So I’m not sure if they truly mean there’s no more room for Fall, or that they really didn’t want to accept me for fall b.c of my scores. They only have my first SAT which wasn’t that good . I don’t know if sending them my new scores will change anything… but they did say once I accept their admission I will be placed on the Fall wait list so maybe improved scores will place me higher on the list.

Either way I think you have a pretty good chance but I don’t know what term you will be accepted for. Did you apply yet ?

No I haven’t applied yet. I’m going to at the beginning of my senior year for the fall 2012 term.

Oh ok. Hhaha didn’t even see your name. Thought you were a senior . Ya you should get in :)

Lol it’s all good. And alright thanks!

You’ll most likely get in. Tampa doesn’t seem to be very choosy with their students.
