<p>Also my dad's business partner is a huge alumni who is finding me some people who can write me great letters of rec.</p>
<p>You need to drastically bring your grades and act score up. I would say a good act score for OOS at unc would be a 33 or more. Unc is extremely hard to get in OOS. Most who get in have 4.0 uw, and sats that are better than 2150. Also, your ecs are ok, but nothing that will stand out too much. Hopefully your alumni connection will help. Goodluck.</p>
<p>pdaniel do not lose faith. My son was just admitted EA for the fall and did not have the numbers that bob stated. I assume you are taking challenging courses. The fact that you have your own business speaks volume to your motivation and drive. If you write very good essays and have good recommendations I believe you have a shot. With that said it never hurts to improve your grades. Good luck to you.</p>
<p>I’ve heard from two different UNC admissions reps that the SAT is one of the four main things that they consider, but it is the least of the four.</p>
<p>Make sure you have great EC’s, transcript, and recommendations too. Try to finish strong first semester senior year to show a positive trend!</p>
