Hi, I am a junior in high school from Alabama. I was just wondering what you guys think my chances are at UF. I know they may be slim, but oh well.

GPA: 3.4 unweighted, 3.7 weighted
ACT: 26 (first time, taking again in April)
EC's: 3-4
I have always taken honors/college prep/AP classes.

You automatically have a tough time because you’re out of state. Your unweighted GPA is good (mine was a 3.2 when I got accepted) but your weighted GPA is pretty low, if you take a lot of honors and AP classes then you should have a higher weighted (given you get Cs or better in the classes).
How much community service do you have?

Well, you might want to recalculate your gpa to the 5.0 UF GPA scale, +.5 for honors and +1 for ap/duel enroll courses.

Anyway, it will already be fairly challenging for you to get in because you are out of state. Also, since you are a junior, you can still hit the ACT/SAT practice books hard. A 26 ACT is not very high and is below UF’s average, which is a 28 i believe (not sure).

You’re gonna have to bring up your ACT score because UF is really picky about their OOS students. If you keep your gpa up, show an upward trend, and continue to take the most challenging courses in your school you could have a shot.
