I have about 800 hours of community service
My ECS include two jobs that I've held since 2008. No athletics, but I dance out of school. My essay was pretty good and I got two great recommendations from my counselor and an English teacher.

I know my SATs are really low so I'm kind of worried about getting into UMass. I slacked off a little bit last year so on my transcript are mostly B's and A's but a few C+'s. Do I have any chances of getting in?

Well, the bad news is that your 1070 SAT puts you at around the 25th percentile mark.

The good news is that 25% of kids have a lower score than you, and still got in.

Your ACT score converts to about 80-100 points higher than your SAT, so this is also good.

Your GPA is a little higher than the average, which works in your favor.

And I think being OOS gives you a boost, especially if you are outside the northeast.

So overall, I think your chances are decent, but not outstanding.

Good luck!

I agree, you have a very good chance of getting in. I have close to the same scores on the SATs and I was admitted EA. I’m not sure how much they weigh ECs but you’ll be fine :)
