3.0 unweighted gpa
1860 SAT
Decent Ec's
Great recomendations from teachers and guidence counselors.
Excellent midyear grades

If you took AP & Honors classes I’d say you have an average chance. UConn is a gamble, and their admissions thus far have been completely unpredictable.

My niece had similar stats but was waitlisted. I would not describe her mid-year’s as excellent. She did not do well on a mid-term and had a C in one of her Honors classes. She does have quite a few APs and Honors courses on record though. I agree, it seems the schools like to see you’ve taken taken some of the harder courses offered, and you may get a break on the GPA unless of course you’re applying to the ivies.

With a 3.0 GPA my niece was accepted into 3 of her choices so far and waitlisted by UConn. It is possible to find a great school with that GPA bearing in mind there are so many factors in the decision process. And if you don’t get in and they’re your top choice, remember you can always try to transfer in from another university if you keep your grades up. Good luck!

unpredictable might be an understatement
