Thanks man. I'll keep you updated if you keep me updated. BTW, Villanova is a great school, so don't count them out. I'm sure you'll be happy wherever you go.

I have very similar scores to u...29 on the ACT, 3.74 GPA with several APs and Honors, 2030 on the SAT...and i got in a week after i applied (i'm out of state). you should be fine.

I applied to PSU with a 1280 SAT
650 Crit Readin
630 Math
650 Writing
27 ACT
3.7 GPA
My counselor just sent my transcript etc.
Im out of state, think i have a good shot at University Park?

I had a 1260.

640 CR
620 Math

PSU doesn't look at writing.

and a 3.5 GPA in a small un-competative school
and I'm in-state and I got Accepted.

You have a very good shot, it's a good thing you sent in your stuff before November 30th.

My stats are Kind of similar to yours and yours are slightly better, But you are out of state. I'm not sure but Good Luck and I hope you get in. Are you applying to any other schools?? I already got accepted so I figured why bother.

Yea, I think I have a pretty good chance, I'm excited to hear from them soon. I live in California but kinda wanna go someplace else for college. Im applying to...
Colorado State
Gonzaga
University of Portland
Lehigh
Wake Forest
Univ. Southern California
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
I go to a pretty competitive private high school where about 90% of kids go on to 4 year colleges, i think i have a good chance at getting into Gonzaga CSU and Portland and Lehigh and PSU were my good fit schools while the rest were sorta reaches

oh yea, and i applied to the university of oregon, but thats a joke to get into i hear, im pretty sure ill get in there

and which other schools did you apply to?

I didn't apply to any other ones at all, I figured why bother.

I was planning on applying to Virginia Tech, UConn, University of Scranton, maybe West Virginia for a safety. and possiably a couple of other schools. But when I visited PSU, I really liked it and you really can't beat In-state prices, So Why go to UConn or someplace like Boston and pay and extra 40,000-50,000 Dollars over four years. So once I got into Penn State I figured that's good enough for me.

I mean it's a top 50 school, it'd be kind of pointless to apply to anywhere lower than that. maybe I'll write an essay for Notre Dame and hope for a Miracle, but other then That, my college process is done and I'm headed to Happy Valley :)
