chances :)

hey everyone. I'm getting kind of worried, especially because it;s already november and i havent submitted my app. i probably will submit next week. do i still have a shot? i hear admissions gets competitive after october..

michigan gpa: 3.93
SAT: 2250 (760 CR,720M,770W)
SATII: 730 Bio, 660 Chem, 750 US
ACT: took in oct, expecting (hoping for) low 30s :)
ECs: heavy on science/math, several leadership positions (captain of science olympiad, academic league, nhs vp, model congress vp, math hs treasurer, etc.) also, i like research. and music. though, i'm probably not good enough to get into the school of music (le sigh), so i'll just apply to LAS.
Rec: my teacher loves me. she wrote me a rec for my EA school (didn't make the deadline eheh), and said it was good.
Essays: probably weak. i'm sort of boring. i have one common app essay hammered out, so i can probably rework that for the 500 word one.
also, i am ranked 1 out of like 240, but i probably will drop to 2 (damn you, chain rule). i've taken the toughest classes, except ive only taken two years of language.. scheduling conflicts with other APs.

oh yeah, i am also out of state. i think im gonna take math iic or something this saturday. i forgot to register though, so i will do standby hopefully. thanks for your help.

i say you got a really good shot at umich...great gpa...great sat...good ec's...but you say your essays are gonna be weak so that'll hold you back a little...but i think your chances are probably match or a little better...

You are a 4.0 student, valedictorian or salutatorian of your class of 250 students and got a 2250 on your SAT? You're most likely in. Your essays don't have to be passionate or exciting as long as they are well written and appropriate. I am sure they will be.
