<p>I'm applying to Rice Interim. Can you look at my stats and tell me what you think? Anything would be really helpful.</p>

<p>Rank: 13/663
GPA: 4.08/4.0 weighted, no idea what uw is. </p>

<p>Test scores:
SAT I: Composite 2340 , Math 800, Verbal 800, Writing 740
SAT II's : Math 2c 800, U.S. History 790</p>

<p>AP classes:
Psychology, U.S. History, English Language, English Lit, Calculus BC, Biology, Macro and Micro</p>

<p>Ap scores: 5's on Psychology, U.S. History, and English Lang, haven't taken any others since I'm taking the courses right now. </p>

<p>EC's and other stuff:
Volunteer work at Children's Medical Center in Dallas 100something hours
Volunteer work at Sunray Chinese School 60 something hours
Volunteer work at Coppell Public Library 60 something hours
Volunteer work at church 50 something hours
NHS
National Merit Semi (229), Finalist status pending
Academic Decathlon, one award at regionals, one at state
Some debate 9th 10th and 11th, a few novice awards
Treasurer of Galveston Chinese Church Youth group 9th
President Chinese Gospel Church Youth group 10th-now</p>

<p>The only thing is, Rice supposedly has a reputation for not liking kids from our school. Anything to alleviate my massive fears would be appreciated.</p>

<p>Looks almost identical to the other recent chances posts. The details aren't the same, of course, but the level of achievement/type of involvement are all high enough to get you in. All depends on your app. Of course the same relationship applies to you as everyone else I've seen on this board: people have gotten in with less and rejected with more. I think there is a lot of great advice given by wrprice, torrestowers, jenskate and others floating around. If you need emotional support of some sort, I'm sure some stressed out high school junior/senior is more than willing to congratulate you on achieving what he/she cannot in terms of numbers. Of course this doesn't mean everything for admissions, and doesn't mean anything after, as the loads of advice already here will show you.</p>
