Chances? :)

I think I've posted this in the right area.

just finished my junior year and so far Bucknell is my number one choice. I fell in love when i visited this year. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else, but I'm also visiting Wake Forest, Elon, Villanova, and Gettysburg this summer since my parents want to look at some other places. If I don't like any of them too much, I'm thinking of applying early to Bucknell. I was wondering what my chances for all of those schools would be?
Thanks! :)

I think you would have a good chance applying ED at Bucknell. Let’s go Pens.

Test Scores
Middle 50% of
First-Year Students Percent Who Submitted Scores
SAT Critical Reading: 590 - 670 70%
SAT Math: 630 - 710 70%
SAT Writing: 600 - 690 70%
ACT Composite: 27 - 31 40%

Your math score is in the lower 25%. You should retake the SAT.

Have you discussed with your parents as to whether they will pay all costs? If you need financial aid, look into all the issues concerning that…how much your family will pay, how much your family can qualify for, what kind of aid you might get, etc.

As long as you retake SAT, I think you have an excellent shot. GOOD LUCK!

First I’ll start off by saying you’re not alone in falling in love with Bucknell. I visited a few months ago and loved it as well. It seems like you have really good chances, especially ED. I’m sure you know by now that demonstrated interest is important at Bucknell so maybe try emailing your admissions counselor, just to stay in touch. I would try and raise your math SAT score though, as it is a bit low. Other than, looks good. Good luck and go islanders!

Ok thanks for the input everyone! Ill definitly retake SATs. And as for financial aid, ive been talking it over with my parents recently

I think your chances are very good for ED, if you get your SAT math up about 30 pts., your chances will be even better. In addition I’d take the ACT.
