chances?

chances for UCLA

I go to a all girls catholic private school.
It's an academically super competitve school, and about 80% or my classmates are competitive.
My school does not offer as many AP courses because it's a small school.
Religion class in mandatory so it prevents us from taking a different course.
I believe they have connections with U of ND, Boston College, Loyola Marymount etc

I have a 3.8 unweighted GPA, 4.06 weighted GPA (if I do the A-G requirement)
2000 SAT
28 ACT (retaking it in september, taking classes over the summer so hopefully I get at least 31 or 32?)
SAT IIs: Math II - 760, Bio-E - 610 (retaking october), Korean - 800

-I live in CA

Retake your SAT, not sure how good your ACT score is, but you have a decent shot

Yes retake your ACT. You want to score at LEAST at 32 IMO (34 and above will put you in confident zone). But I got a 33 so you definitely don’t need a 34 to get in.

I got a 30 O_O. But yes, study is good ;]

yea i agree, ACT to 30 at least or SAT to 2050+. Wats your uc gpa?? also about how many kids get into ucla from your hs each year? for example, in my hs it was about 10 a year get accepted, so I could say being in the top 10 ranked gave me a good chance of getting in. Btw, no college really cares about CSF and NHS, don’t emphasize that on your app unless you held a position or something. Rite now, ucla is a reach. You can also look at the official decisions thread for this year to see what kind of stats seem to get accepted.

your gpa is too low, but they usually evaluate you in context, so you should be alright.

I think her GPA is not that low, its a little on the lower end, but her weighted GPA is good. With a good essay you have a shot, just get those sat and sat II scores a as high as you can. You should definitely mention your volunteer services, since i’ve noticed you even got an award for it.
