If you're not applying for financial aid, I'd say you have a very good shot at all of the schools on your list. If you're applying for FA, it's a lot more competitive, so I'm not sure.

I think colleges will be very impressed by your grades because your courseload is very impressive, especially that 7 on Math HL. Taking three IB sciences is very difficult, as I know from experience (the Group 4 project was a beast with three sciences  ). Needless to say, your ecs are also excellent.

Truly excellent essays should get you into many of the schools on your list.

Aren't the applications reviewed under a need-blind policy? In that case, the fact that you are applying for financial aid should not have any bearing on your chance of acceptance.

Admissions usually are not need-blind for internationals.

Ah, pardon my ignorance. I didn't read very carefully.

I forgot this :P

Private High School

I printed out this report on the williams admissions process and it said basically that everyone has good grades nowadays, but that really isn't enough...however, too late to change EC's!

About the FA: good point, I've been really talking to my counselor a lot about Stanford's policy + my chances of getting in...apparently at my school a coupla years ago our valedictorian who was amazing (and asian female as well) didn't get into stanford with similar grades, while this track start with a 2.9 GPA and who'd never taken any AP/IB courses in his HS career got in. With a hefty scholarship. sigh

Sports are pretty big at Stanford. He must have been good though

Question: why is there a red star next to the status of this thread?

Good chance at non-Ivies, iffy at Ivies... but you already know that Harvard doesn't really care.
Good. Violin and Piano. You really seem the consummate Asian. I'm just piano and 2 clarinets. curls up into a corner

The red star means you posted in this thread.
