*Good essays and recommendations, in my opinion

Other

* Gender: Male
*Income bracket: high
*Legacy at Princeton

I don’t like to see your post orphaned gdj325, and even though I don’t like answering chances threads (let’s face it, no one on this board has a crystal ball), I’ll make the following remarks:

1) Your boards are above average for a white male applicant, and it’s no secret that more girls apply to LACs than guys. Gender parity would definitely work in your favor at Wesleyan, Swarthmore, Oberlin, and probably Pomona.

2) You should use you essay to tie things together and give the adcom a better sense of what drives you other than getting good grades. I know this is unfair because your OP was not meant as a finished product, but right now your volunteer work (which sounds fantastic) is buried beneath a lot of generic ECs (sorry, to say this but, everyone is a member of Model U.N.)

3) If you’re good enough to be recruited for ice hockey, now would be the time to get in touch with coaches and stuff.

4) I think you’re in at Bates, Colby, Pitzer, Trinity, and similar places.

why not try your shot at princeton especially with a legacy?
