Teacher Recommendations should be very good.

Counselor Reference should be great!

Essay: About my experience raising 2 guide dogs and how it's affected me.

Oh, and I’m applying restrictive early action…

58 views and no responses? Is that a no? I don’t mind honesty… Please??? :)

I believe its fake because you said you’ve gotten the presidential call of service award, you gotten 1000 hours of community service…

I’m not lying…I promise. It’s what you get at South Eastern Guide Dogs Inc. for raising a guide dog with a Obama’s signature on it. (Here’s a link: http://www.nationalservice.gov/about/initiatives/pvsa.asp</a>)
And that’s a lot of work. It means you take a 9 week puppy into your home and train it and take it every where you go for the next year. I’ve raised two. So I’ve taken one dog to Washington D.C. and I’ve taken them to grocery stores, the mall, my voice lessons, etc. Plus, I had to attend a two to three hour meeting every two weeks. It took a lot of my time, and my college counselor said I at least should get 1000 hrs for my work raising two of them.

If the presidential call of service award is 1,000 hours, then I would have gotten award a long time ago.

[President’s Volunteer Service Award](http://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov/tg/pvsainfo/dspAboutAwards.cfm)

I believe when you get that award, the president actually gives it to you since I saw people with that. (That’s the rarest award people that people obtain.)

To explain why it’s so hard to get: If a person is to do 1000 hours every year, there will be in total of 41 days of work! I’m obtaining this everyday from working 4 hours a day and in the summer 10 hours a day.

Well, I don’t know but that’s what it says on my certificate…I swear I’m not lying. I want an honest opinion, so why would I? My mom’s name is on it because I had to sign up with an adult to raise a guide dog puppy. I just checked with other people who have raised and they have it, too. This is exactly what my award looks like: In the left hand corner it has a seal with an eagle surrounded by “The President’s Call To Service Award.” In the middle it says “Presented by the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation to [my mom and my names] in recognition and appreciation of your commitment to strengthening our Nation and for making a difference through volunteer service.” I mean, maybe they count taking a puppy into your home and being responsible for it and it’s behavior night and day for a year counts as 4000 hours. At my school we have to submit our hours and why we think we deserve them, and I only asked for 1040-> 10 hrs of training and socialization a week for 2 dogs…If I’m wrong, I don’t mean to be.

1.) You’ve passes 7 AP tests while doing 6?

2.) Service award

3.) Anne Frank Humanitarian award

I’m sorry, but I’m really confused…

Yes, I took the AP computer science test because I was doing the AP class online because I was interested, and my parents told me they were separating March and that we were moving out, so I asked my teacher to just take me out and give me an honors credit because it was a really time consuming class and I was too stressed to complete it in time, but I had signed up for the AP test already, and I passed the test with a 4. Thus, 6 AP credits with 7 passed tests.

I don’t know. I’m confused, too. I didn’t even think it was that big of a deal when I put it on there. I thought it was just something you got for doing official community service. You can ignore it if you like.

3.It’s a Florida award that my guidance counselor nominated me for. One person from each school can be nominated for it and have the possibility of receiving it: [Education Department](http://www.flhm2.org/Education/AnneFrank/AnneFrankAward.cfm)

Well TBH, I believe that you should check your community service hours so that you can get the award. I believe that it is a rare and great reward because of the hours it takes. If you aren’t lying about this, then I believe you have a higher chance of harvard.

Okay, thanks! I’ll talk to my counselor about it, and see what she says! I’m sorry, this became such a discussion…:/
