<p>[VERY LONG POST -- I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE]
I am a Senior who definitely needs to cut down on her list of colleges she is applying to.</p>
<p>Overall about Me: Junior, White, Russian Jew, Female,</p>
<p>GPA: 3.67/4.3 weighted. School doesn't rank. 3.6/4.3 unweighted.</p>
<p>Superscored SAT: 2150 (680CR, 700M, 770W)
SAT IIs: Registered to take Math 1 (October), Math 2 (November), Biology - E (October), and US History (November)
ACT: Registered to take in October.
APs: AP Bio - 3, AP Lang - 3 (I have requested a re-score of AP Lang).</p>
<p>Courses taken so far:
Science - When I graduate, I will have completed five years of science courses (one of which is AP Biology. I am taking Physics next year. I took both Biology and Chemistry during my sophomore year.)
Language -Four years of a foreign language (I am taking Spanish 5 Honors right now which is my fourth year taking spanish)
History - Four years of history (I have taken advanced history since my sophomore year which is on a higher level than regular but not as high as honors and has no extra weight).
Math - Four years of math (Geometry, Algebra 2 Honors, Precalculus, and currently taking AP Statistics)
English - Four years of english (one of which is AP Lang and I am taking AP Lit this year)
Electives/Others - One year of chorus, One year of working for my school newspaper, Member of the school yearbook staff this year, One year of child development, Currently taking child psychology honors which also counts as a college course and for which I will receive credits (from Seton Hall University).</p>
<p>SATs: I took the SAT last month and got a 1330/1600 and a writing score that I am very unhappy with so I will be taking the SAT again in the hopes of raising my scores in each section...</p>
<p>Work/Volunteer Experience: The summer before my sophomore year, I completed 60 hours of community service by volunteering at my local library. Since October of my sophomore year, I have been working as a secretary/assistant/paralegal for a lawyer in my area and will be asking her to write me a college recommendation letter.</p>
<p>Major: I would like to double major in Psychology and Political Science (or International Relations). If not possible, then I would just like to major in Psychology. I may apply to law school and perhaps attend after graduating from college and then pursue a career as an attorney. Or pursue a career in psychology.</p>
<p>My High School: Very competitive public high school in northern NJ. My school was ranked ranked 2nd overall out of 316 schools in NJ. </p>
<p>Honors (included in Courses Taken): So far, I have taken Algebra 2 Honors (sophomore year), AP Lang (junior year), AP Biology (junior year), Child Psychology Honors (senior year, worth college credits), AP Lit (senior), AP Statistics (senior), and Spanish 5 Honors (senior).</p>
<p>Extracurriculars: Member of the Domestic Abuse Awareness club for two years (and am Treasurer this year), member of the Animal Rights Club for two years, a member of Tech Crew for two years, (participated in sports [spring track and winter swimming] during my first year), and used to work for my school newspaper during my freshman year and am currently on the yearbook staff...</p>
<p>Recs: I asked my AP Biology teacher and my Child Development teacher (she also will be teaching Child Psych honors next year). I will also ask my employer (an attorney).</p>
<p>Legacy: None. My parents went to college in Russia. </p>
