Essay is fairly strong, and I can probably get good recommendations.

Chances??

I would say Dartmouth is a bit of a reach for you, try and bring up your math sat score and have a really strong essay.

From what you’ve posted here, your chances don’t look particularly strong. I’d suggest that you think about what you like about D, and find some less reachy schools that share those characteristics. Schools like Hamilton, Colgate, and Bowdoin. (Not that they are easy to get into, either.) Maybe U VM. Have D as a reach, but be realistic.

But, as I said, this is based on what you’ve posted here. A fuller picture might make you look like a stronger candidate. You definitely would benefit from stronger SATs, though, especially math. Your SATIIs and APs are fine.

2200+ SAT to say you have a real chance without having a hook.

My SAT is exactly 2200; you think that’s good enough?

joshmay, there is information available on the D website that shows the admission results of applicants within specific ranges of the CR and M sections of the SAT. You can look it up and draw your own conclusions.

Distribution seems to matter. If your 2200 were CR770 M730 W700 or CR800 M700 W700, for example, I personally think you would be in better shape.
