Chances????

I am only a junior this year but I am planning to apply ED to Wake next fall...

I am from a very competitive public high school in the North East
GPA: 3.75, weighted (it's bad, I know...my school also has a wierd way of doing our GPAs)
SATs 2040 (I'm planning on taking them twice more to improve this)
APs: (to have taken by the end of high school) Psychology, English, Econ, US Politics and Gov, Stat (5 Total)

Extracurriculars:
2 years JV girls tennis team
3 Years Varsity girls track
100+ volunteer hours helping disabled children with therapeutic horseback riding (been doing this since I was in 7th grade)
Summer internship (I'm planning to intern next summer too)
Volunteer at Dress for Success
3 years staff member on the newspaper (I am hoping to be an editor next year)
3 years staff member on the yearbook

You are certainly on the right track. I wouldn’t worry about anything at this point except working hard in your classes and engaging yourself in activities you enjoy. Junior year grades are the most important year of grades, so just keep up the good work.

You have the numbers to get in. Now you need the personality. Wake Forest receives thousands of people with the same level of extracurricular and academics of you. They need more than that; they need a creative person who truly stands out of the crowd, especially if you’re coming from the Northeast. Just be sure to have stellar supplements and essays when you apply, and you can pretty easily get in. Oh, and interview. Interview interview interview.
