Chances?

<p>Academics:
I go to one of the top high schools in the state. Graduating class is 1100 and we don’t rank because it’s so competitive.
GPA: 4.07 Weighted and 3.52 Unweighted (Never had lower than a B)
ACT: 33 Comp (36 Science, 33 Math, 32 English, 30 Reading, 8 Writing)
6 (soon to be 7) semester gold honor roll.
6.5 APs (Human Geo, Physics B (dropped after one semester), Environmental Science, Government, Calc AB, Microeconomics, US History)
Majority of my other classes are Honors with a few accelerated and a couple regular level.</p>

<p>Athletics:
2 JV Seasons of Swimming
1 Season of Freshman lacrosse, captain
2 (will be 3) Seasons of Varsity Lacrosse, captain, starter, goalie coach, Academic All Conference, 1st Team all conference, Honorable mention all area team</p>

<p>Clubs/Groups:
2 years of NHS, received bronze service pin
1 year of Business Professionals of America (state competition qualifier)
3 years of Temple youth group, founder and served as Vice president, President, and regional liasion organized events
4 years of regional youth group, served as secretary. wrote legislation and programming, organized several retreats for 200 people</p>

<p>Work:
2 summers lifeguarding at local day camp
1 summer working on volunteer basis at overnight camp
1 year working as teacher aid for temple
2 years coaching and reffing youth lacrosse games</p>

<p>Essays: really strong and demonstrates my drive to suceed
Rec Letters: commented about my commitment to school/academics and leadership skills, good heart, caring, etc</p>

<p>Basics: Dad is an ivy leaguer, parents are divorced, income is about $40k per year for my mom, 2 sisters and I. White and Jewish.</p>

<p>I wish I knew more about AU admissions standards… I am from the west coast and unfortunately don’t have a clear picture how great of a school it is. I did apply, and your numbers are a lot stronger than mine… from what I have been reading it sounds like AU really does take #'s into consideration perhaps maybe a little more than EC’s? idk… my application is unique though and my lower GPA and Test scores are justified because I think and learn differently…good luck your ACT scores are really awesome.</p>
