great chance; but as it is true in the case of chicago, I think it will all come down to your essays.

yea with all those essays and the amazing essay questions, i thought they would be very important

thanks

it seems as though stats have almost nothing to do with it. many people with extremely high scores got deferred. and to quote Ted O'Neill in the acceptance letter, "Our decision was not based on numbers but on your achievements and your words." good luck, and work hard on those essays! edit, edit, edit!

yeah i was saidthat on another thread. but it seems that while SAT scores were the negligible factor..the most important factor was the GPA? except for the two or three who had under 3.5, most were in the 3.9s...i'm still waiting to hear!!

SAT's are considered, because UChicago DOES require them, if they REALLY didn't care about them at all, then they wouldnt require them. They don't play much weight i dont think, but are still considered. I don't really know how SAT 2's work, and i didn't send any so im still kinda scared about what that means. I talked to admissions and they said i wouldn't be at a disadvantage because i didnt turn them in, so lets hope they were being honest.

I'm in PA, and im waiting for my decision to get here anytime tomorrow or day after. Hopefully tomorrow :-) Good wishes to all who haven't heard yet and good wishes to all those who REALLY WANT to go to UChicago and were deferred. Keep working hard kids, it all pays of in the end ( i really should listen to myself :-) )

i have similar stats and i wish u luck.

Many are admitted without SAT II's.

Thats awesome, i guess im slightly less concerned now.
