feedback please!

Wow. Awesome SAT scores and grades..
um.. AND you're in Kentucky!
Lucky you!
Your academic achievements meet Princeton's standard, but watch your essay. Anything about diversity or "and I learned a lesson on how to be a better person" is sketchy.
But I say you have a great chance. Also, what do you want to major in?

my essay, specifically, was about teenage rural kentuckians rejecting education about islam (personal experience at a summer program).
if admitted to princeton, id prob major in molecular biology. if not that then anthropology or psych.

feedback from others?

You're certainly qualified, but then again so are most of the applicants. Work on your essays, try to make yourself stand out with an EC. Hope for the best, but don't get your hopes up! And find other schools you could be just as happy at! Good luck! :)

your stats are definately there, but as we saw during ED round, stats isn't everything, try and get your essays as best as they can be ;)

collegebites, do you happen to be from duPont Manual HS or Paul Dunbar HS? I'm guessing the latter...

Actually, the former makes more sense now that I think about it.

haha wow, im from dunbar, how did u guess?

oh, haha, I was in Meyzeek MS (middle school version of Manual HS) before I moved to NJ. Pity, though...I wanted to contact my old friends again.

i know some manual ppl, all through academic team tho.
back on topic, do i have a chance?

I think it's a moot point to ask if you "have a chance". Of course you have a chance, and I think you probably know that with your scores. As for ECs, you even said it yourself... "Lots of EC with lots of leadership pos."

Just apply and leave the rest up to the admissions committee.

The only way to be a sure bet in applying to an Ivy is to achieve an SAT score that shows you aren't brain dead and to be #1 in the state or nationally ranked as an athlete.

My little sister just asked me if she should go for a jog or go study for her math test. I said the former was the wiser choice if she wanted to go to a good school one day.

Hey collegebites, it’s cool you’re from Dunbar, hehe..I used to go to Lafayette.

"My little sister just asked me if she should go for a jog or go study for her math test. I said the former was the wiser choice if she wanted to go to a good school one day."

good stuff.
